Treating, Repairing and Designing Timber Fences and Decks

Welcome to my blog! My name is Brenda, and I love designing homes and landscaping yards. In particular, I love implementing natural wood and timber into my designs. Last year, I put on new timber decking and added a fence. to our garden Through the process of working with a contractor and doing a lot of independent research, I was able to get just the type of decking and fencing I wanted, and now, I am adamant about taking great care of it. In this blog, I am going to cover a gamut of concepts related to timber decking, and I might into delve into some other posts about construction or DIY. I hope that you like my ideas!

How to Organise and Set Up Your Server Room

If you run a business, regardless of the size of your office, you should have a dedicated server room. This allows you to keep all computer equipment used by your IT staff in a safe and secure place where it won't get damaged or tampered with. Here are some tips for keeping the server room clean and well organised.

Use Rack-Mounted Equipment

One of the best systems you can use in your server room is a server racking system. Server racks provide mounts that keep all of your electronic and computer equipment in one secure place. Instead of stacked haphazardly on tables and shelves in the server room, the server rack provides slots to easily mount all of the server and computer hardware used in the room. It provides a variety of shelves and drawers in addition to the main server rack that also help you to organise other items in the server room, from cables to accessories.

Keep Everything Cool

Another thing you want to remember while setting up the server room is to keep the equipment cool, otherwise, you could be dealing with some major IT issues in the office. First of all, make sure you have central air conditioning in the building and that there are vents in the server room. This allows you to control the temperature in this room according to the needs of the server equipment. You might also want to install fans on the server racks to provide even better cooling of the equipment.

Label and Organise Your Cables

The cables and cords in a server room are among the biggest problem in terms of keeping the room organised. This might be a big job, but it is still possible to keep them out of the way and free from creating a huge mess in the room. Start by labelling all of the cords and cables on both ends so you can keep track of them even when unplugging them and moving them around. Also, label the ports where they are to be plugged in to make it quick and easy to move them around. Use mounted hardware and server racks to find a good place for all the cables connected to the associated hardware. You can also zip-tie the cords that are unnecessarily long and hanging in front of server equipment.

Make sure you also keep the server room free of dust, which is easier to do when everything is already sorted and organised properly.
